About Me

Somewhere in Southern California during the summer of 2008, an unlikely birth took place. Three members of the established hard core band Mikoto decided they could no longer fight their inner pop voices. Kelly Orr (vocals), Matt Moody (guitar, vocals), and Max Cuzor (drums) ditched their black t-shirts and replaced them with pink, blue and yellow ones. After joining forces with Charity Gant on keyboards, the band wrote and recorded their first offering, "Don't Hold Your Breath, Boy," which was Co/Produced by Forrest Kline of Hellogoodbye fame. The song received an immediate, overwhelmingly positive response on the band's myspace page. "Give us more" was the overall gist of the comments left by the hundreds of fans the band was adding daily.

Teen Hearts was quick to comply.

In October of 2008, Teen Hearts self-released "The Heart Beat EP," a six song pop gem. "Hands In The Air" and "Hollywood Hearts" became fast fan favorites, along with their modern take on the 80's Ace of Base hit "The Sign." Sales were strong from day one, and the band's myspace plays shot to over 7K a day!

One of the band's earliest and biggest fans, Jeffree Star, invited Teen Hearts out on their first ever US tour in November. Since then, the band has been playing with the upcoming crop of serious pop contenders including Jeffree Star, Ultraviolet Sound, Kill Paradise, Brokencyde, Artist vs Poet, Love You Long Time, and others. The band's growing popularity landed them a slot on this year's Bamboozle Left festival where they played with the likes of Fall out Boy, Cobra Starship and Metro Station. In between the touring, the band has been diligently writing for their debut full-length, due Fall of 2009.

It hasn't even been a year since that day last summer when the shirt exchange took place. Teen Hearts finds themselves poised to take their rightful slot in the world of pop music. We invite you to come along for the ride.
